A healthy and active sex life is an important element of all intimate relationships. However, from time to time most couples will experience some sexual problems. Our sex lives can be affected by many physical or emotional factors. This can lead to problems such as loss of desire or difficulty in getting aroused. Equally common are problems with maintaining erections, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, or painful intercourse. Some individuals approach their GP for help and may be referred to a psychosexual therapist like me, but others are simply too embarrassed to seek help.
I can offer an in depth and completely confidential assessment to explore with you the cause of any sexual problem. It may be helpful for me to liaise with your GP, but often there is no underlying medical cause for sexual problems, and over 90% of clients can be helped with a course of cognitive behavioural psychosexual therapy.
If you are experiencing problems in your sex life, don't be embarrassed to come and talk about it. After all, what's a few blushes compared to a life time of frustration?
